Jed Linsider

Jed Linsider is Vice President – Strategy and Finance for Wells REIT II. He leads and directs strategic analysis, modeling, and research and is managing the strategic planning process on behalf of Wells REIT II. Mr. Linsider was previously Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis for Wells Real Estate Funds, where he maintained similar responsibilities on behalf of Wells-sponsored products. He was also involved in the development of new business initiatives with Wells Energy Services, LLC. Mr. Linsider supported Wells’ senior management’s ability to make strategic, tactical, and long-term planning decisions.

Mr. Linsider joined Wells in 2004 as a Corporate Finance Analyst and worked in roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of financial analysis and product development. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Linsider was Manager of the Financial Planning and Analysis group, responsible for the production of financial projections and analysis on behalf of Wells-sponsored products. Mr. Linsider also served as the key finance point of contact for new product initiatives, providing analytical support for multiple projects including the financial modeling for a $400 million initial acquisition for a Wells-sponsored investment program.

Prior to joining Wells, Mr. Linsider worked for six years in the Commercial Operations/Trading group at Mirant Corporation, an independent power producer, where he developed an extensive understanding of the U.S. energy markets. From 1999-2003, Mr. Linsider served as a trader and market-maker in the Southwestern U.S. electricity markets, profitably managing a multi-million-dollar trade book.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Linsider worked as a market-maker of weather-based derivatives, with a focus on trading options, swaps, and other products. In that role, he was instrumental in developing and implementing operating procedures for a newly developed commodity program. Mr. Linsider began his career as a risk control analyst, responsible for managing trading and risk controls for the company’s power trading operations. Mr. Linsider holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University, an M.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business, and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
